This basic/intermediate level course is intended for participants with a basic understanding of thermodynamics compression process. The course is self-directed and divided into seven 90 minute sessions, which can be completed all-at-once or over an extended period. The course sessions are separated into major topics related to the following titles:
Examination and problem solving exercises reinforce the understanding of the material and are included after each session. The participant will gain a thorough understanding of centrifugal compressor operation, performance, and support systems. The course material includes multiple computer based slides with visual graphs, charts, pictures, narrative descriptions and animations. It also includes a training handbook, review problems, spreadsheet based software for solving review problems and written exams given after each session.
